No Budget, No Pay

At my place of work, if I don't do my job, I don't get paid. I may even get fired. Our elected leaders in Congress should be treated the same way. They need to know what its really like for us hard-working citizens who only get paid for a job well done. If they can't do their job then they should not get paid, or they will be called home!

Currently, a bill - No Budget, No Pay Act (H.R. 3643 & S. 1981) - is being sponsored to the effect that if the congressional spending process is not completed by the start of the government's fiscal year on October 1, congressional pay ceases.
